Terms of Service

Welcome to Cribbage Den. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cribbage Den web app (cribbageden.com) and iOS app ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Your Account

You may play against the computer as a guest, but a free account is required for multiplayer games and stat tracking.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information when registering and must not impersonate another person.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create accounts.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Cheat, exploit bugs, use automation or bots in multiplayer games, or otherwise interfere with fair play.
Harass, threaten, or abuse other players, including in video, voice, or text chat.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, the servers, or non-public parts of the Service.
Disrupt the Service, including flooding, denial-of-service attempts, or circumventing rate limits.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion and with or without notice.

3. Cribbage Club Memberships & Purchases

Optional paid memberships ("Cribbage Club") and one-time purchases (such as Remove Ads) unlock additional features, as described at the time of purchase.
Web purchases are processed by Stripe; iOS purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not store your payment card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal (web) or your App Store subscription settings (iOS); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Except where required by law or by the applicable app store's policies, payments are non-refundable.

4. Fair Play & Game Integrity

Multiplayer games are refereed by our servers, which deal the cards, validate plays, and compute all scores. Server results are final. We may reset, void, or correct games affected by bugs, outages, or cheating.

5. Chat Features

Video and voice chat streams travel peer-to-peer between players and are not recorded or stored by us. You are solely responsible for your conduct and for what you share on camera or microphone. Please be kind at the table.

6. Intellectual Property

The Cribbage Den name, logo, artwork, software, and design are our property and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The game of cribbage itself is, of course, in the public domain — but you may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our permission.

7. Advertising

The free tier of the Service may display advertisements, including ads served by third parties such as Google AdSense. How advertising cookies and identifiers are handled is described in our Privacy Policy. Club members and Remove Ads purchasers do not see ads.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that game data (including statistics and match history) will never be lost. Cribbage Den is a game of entertainment; no real-money wagering is offered or supported.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cribbage Den and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $10 if you paid nothing).

10. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
